She is known for delivering well-researched copy on deadline. Karen also handles all logistics for photo shoots including setting a theme, contacting photographers, scheduling sources, acquiring props and selecting appropriate sites. Karen draws upon a broad network of professionals in the field of food, hospitality and their business affiliates. She has also published essays about growing up on a farm in rural Vermont and a dining column called Culinary Comment.

A Vermont native, Karen is a gourmet cook, wine enthusiast and gardener, who understands the importance of food sourcing and farming. As a long-time New Jersey resident, she appreciates the fast-paced and competitive business environment of the metropolitan lifestyle. Karen graduated from Rutgers University with Honors in English.
